We love the rankings aren’t we? When we talk about who are the richest people in the country we always have few names in our minds. Some people think Tata and Birla’s are leading the list while some people believe Ambanis are richest. But what if say there are some other people who are ruling the list not the people you have been thinking so far.

Here is the actual list of top 5 richest person of India:

Mukesh Ambani

Yeah! You got it right.  The man who brought the JIO sensation to this country is leading the list. Mukesh Ambani has been at the top since last 5 years. He is the big man behind Reliance Industries that includes number of businesses like Oil refinery, Yarn industry, telecom Industry and the list goes on.

Dilip Sanghvi

The padma shree award winner Dilip holds the 2nd rank in the list. Owing an asset of around Rs 1, 21,500 crore makes him the second richest person of this country. He is associated with Sun Pharmacy Company and recently laid a plan to build a payment bank with the help of IDFC and Norway’s Telenor.

Pallonji Mistry

Most of you people may not be knowing about him but he is a remarkable personality and popularly known as ‘Phantom of Bombay House’. The most interesting fact about Pallonji is that he constructed the Stock Exchange and RBI headquarter isn’t it interesting?  With an asset of Rs 1, 10,100 crore Pallonji becomes the third richest man of the country. The prime reason behind his wealth is his 18.4 % stake in Tata Sons Company.

SP Hinduja

SP Hinduja and group hold the 4th rank in the list. Hindujas owing the asset of around Rs 1,00,700 crore which makes them 4th richest after Pallonji Mistry. The Hindujas deals with automobile industry and financial services. They are all set to have a really big investment of $1 billion and have  plans for the future as they are going to deal in the business of Oil, trading, Chemicals and infrastructure across Africa.

Cyrus S Poonawala

Cyrus S Poonawala is known to be the leading manufacturer of vaccines. Nobody can beat you when you have 82% revenue coming from the overseas market. In addition to this, his company is earning way much bigger profiter than the normal and 55 is the number. Cyrus is the king of vaccine industry and that gives him the 5th position in the list of richest peoples of India.
