October 4, 2016, was just another day for most of us. But Google had different plans. They announced their entry to the smartphone league with the Pixel and the Pixel XL in the #MadeByGoogle event. This is the first time Google is involved in the manufacturing of smartphones directly under their domain. These two new entries are expected to switch up the level of the Smartphone industry.

APPEARANCE AND DISPLAY
Pixel and Pixel XL differs by 0.5" in screen size which have 5" and 5" respectively. Both of the phones are having the same virtual hardware apart from it's screen and battery.

They have a unique unibody metallic structre.The screens are made using the AMOLED technology with the Gorilla Glass 4. They have a contrasting 441 to 534 Pixels Per Inch. This phone also has a fingerprint scanner for enhanced security.
PERFOMANCE AND MEMORY
Google Pixel uses Android as their Operating System. Both the phones come with the new Android 7.1 Nougat with an amazing chipset of one of the latest and best Qualcomm Snapdragon 821.
They both have a 4GB LPDDR4 RAM with an internal storage of 32 GB and 128 GB. There is no room for an SD card but since the memory can be backed up to the cloud, that is not really an issue to be worried about.
CAMERA
The cameras in both the versions will have an aperture of f/2.0 with 1.55µm and a 12 megapixel sensor. Previously, the Nexus had also used similar features and back then the camera quality was amazing. So, the camera is expected to be on of the standout feature of the Pixel. They also have an 8 megapixel front camera. They can also capture videos of 2160p.
BATTERY
The Pixel has a battery of 2770 mAh (32 hours talk time and 552 hours standby) and a very fast charging ability of 7 hours talk time in 15 minutes. The Pixel XL has a battery of 3450 mAh ( 26 hours talk time and 456 hours standby). The USB cable compatible with these devices will the type C which is the main reason of this fast charging feature.
OVERALL
The Google Pixel is expected to be among the top of the list of the Best smartphones. It is going to be available in India from 20th October like in other countries from a starting price of 57,000 INR. So let's wait and see the entry of Google in this field.
