  • The new ₹2000 note has a magenta colored base and the dimension of the note is 66MM x 166MM .
  • Look through register with denominational number.
  • Latent image with denominational number.
  • Denominational numeral are written in Devnagari language.
  • Portrait of Mahatma Gandhi is placed at the centre of the note.
  • ‘RBI’ and Rs ‘2000’ are written in the micro size on the left side of the banknote.
  • Windowed security thread is placed with inscriptions ‘Bharat’ in Devanagari, RBI and number with colour shift. Thread Color changes from green to blue while tilting.
  • There is a Guarantee Clause, Governor’s signature with Promise Clause plus RBI emblem is placed towards the right .
  • There is a portrait of Mahatma Gandhi with electrotype watermarks.
  • Now there is a number panel with numerals escalating from small to big on the top left side and bottom right side
  • Denominational number with a symbol of rupee, the numeral in colour changing ink (green to blue) on bottom right.
  • Ashoka Pillar emblem got its place on the right.
  • For visually impaired people Horizontal rectangle with Rs 2000 in raised print on the right and seven angular bleed lines on the left and right side in raised print has been designed.
  • The year of printing of the note is printed on the left.
  • The new Swachh Bharat logo is also mentioned with slogan.
  • Language panel has been placed towards the centre.
  • Motif of Mangalyaan can be seen.
