As we all know that the central government is trying its best to promote
cashless economy in the nation and this time they came up with “Lucky Grahak Yojana” which is more
like Digital Payment Lucky Draw. Under
this lucky draw scheme, everyday 15,000 people will get a chance to win prizes
and this prize money can be up to Rs 1 Crore. The Government has put a heavy
investment of Rs
340 Cr for this digital payment lucky draw in order to encourage people to focus on cashless payment methods.
What is in it for you?
Lucky Grahak Yojana
offers the opportunity to win prizes and cash daily. There are three different
prize categories, which are as follows:

Daily Prize
As the name suggest, everyday 15,000 lucky people will get the chance to
win the prize. Prize money will be Rs 1000 and this scheme is going to last for 100 days.
·
Weekly Prize
This prize
category offers greater amount to the people, which is Rs 1 lakh, Rs 10,000 and Rs. 5000.
·
Mega Prize
Well, this is a great deal and only one lucky person will get a
chance to win Rs 1 Crore. There are also prizes for second and third place with
an amount of Rs 50 Lakh and Rs 25 Lakh.

scheme is very simple to use, as all you need to do is having a bank account
and do all your payment/purchase and
transactions through digital
payment or cashless method. Following are the digital methods

If you are wondering when this scheme is going to
initiate, well it has already been started unofficially. Do not worry, if you
have done any digital payments on or after 8 November 2016 you are eligible for this lucky draw and this
scheme is going to end on 13 April 2017. The official date of its beginning was
25 December 2016.
Digital Transaction Limits
In order to keep this
scheme unbiased and fair, the transaction subjected to follow a certain limit.
There is range of Rs 50 to Rs 3000, if you cross the limit of Rs 3000 you will
not be eligible for the lucky draw scheme.
How the Lucky Grahak
Yojana Works?
Lucky
Grahak Yojana is
only for those transactions, which goes through the NPCI platform (Non Profit
Authority that manages payment settlements in India).However, for this lucky
draw scheme, the payment through the UPI Rupay card, AEPS and USSD is
considered. The NPCI settles all these transaction.

The
NPCI gathers all the transaction IDs of a certain period. Once the
transaction is completed the IDs are generated automatically .In the first
lucky draw of 25 December, The NPCI has taken eight Crore transaction during 9 November
to 24 December.

A
lucky draw is organized for each category. The NPCI uses special software
for this lucky draw scheme the computer chooses the lucky winners of each
category.
·
The
lucky transaction IDs sent to the respective bank through which the
transactions took place. The banks identify the details of the account holder
of that transaction. It only takes 24 hours.
·
The
bank provides back the bank account numbers of lucky winner to the NPCI.
·
The
NPCI credits the prize money of Rs 1000, in each of the account using the Niti
Aayog funds.
·
Then,
the winners receive Rs 1000 within 2 days in their account.
Results of Lucky Grahak Yojana
Knowing
the results is always exciting and especially when it is about lucky draw
results. To know the results of this scheme you have to visit the government
scheme website, which tells you about the winner of this scheme. You just need
to enter your phone number and receive the OTP and after the confirmation, you
can check if you won or not.
Procedure to participate in
Lucky Grahak Yojana through UPI
- First, you need to create Your VPA- Virtual Payment Address on any UPI Enabled Bank App.
- After that, Link with your Bank account and set transaction Pin.
- You need to ask any Shop nearby where you ‘Pay by Cash’ to create VPA of their Bank AC too.
- Advice the Shop Owner to generate QR Code of their VPA using link
- Now, generate and print QR Code and VPA to display at Payment Desk of any shop.
- From now onwards whenever you buy, pay on his VPA address OR ‘Scan & Pay’ using your UPI App.
- Now Consumer & trader transaction is totally eligible for ‘Lucky Grahak Yojna’ and ‘Digi Dhan Vyapari Yojna’ for transactions between Rs. 50 – 3000 using UPI.
